A Journey Through the Eyes of Gulf Islands' Young Photographers

Step into the captivating world of Home As We Know It, where the lens becomes a portal to the hearts and minds of 19 budding photographers from Gulf Islands Secondary School. Curated under the guiding hand of their mentor, Seb Evans, this exhibition invites you to explore the intimate connections these novice artists have forged with their island home.

Embark on a visual home.jpgodyssey that delves into the depths of the artists’ personal narratives surrounding the themes of home, place, and relocation – poignant photographs that reflect individual experiences, perceptions, and aspirations within the tapestry of the Gulf Islands, a place of belonging and a place of becoming.

From quaint coastal vistas to quiet and still moments of daily life, the exhibition showcases a diverse array of perspectives, each imbued with a sense of intimacy and authenticity. Through their lens, these young artists offer glimpses into the essence of what makes the Gulf Islands an extraordinary place to come of age. As you navigate through the gallery, prepare to be captivated by the raw emotion and talent encapsulated within each frame. Witness the evolution of these budding photographers as they venture courageously into the realm of conceptual artistry, pushing the boundaries of creativity and self-expression.
